They very rarely consume their fellow tank mates. There is also incredible value in having ambassador animals that can inspire the public to care for their natural environment and see them as species worth preserving and making sacrifices for. This animal looks well fed, in good health, and free from spinal deformities that are common with inadequate health and nutrition for this species. I think your concerns are mostly unfounded here.

A lot of animals in the free world where females eat the males especially after sex or absorb him after is pretty common.
